Creative Movement I

Age: 3-4 years old

Length of class: 45 min/1xper week

This class is designed to give students the opportunity to listen to various kinds of music while learning about how their body can move. It also encourages class participation of parents and/or guardians. Students may wear any color leotard, tights and ballet slippers.

Creative movement II

Age: 5-6 years olds

Length of class: 45 min/1xper week

This class will begin to introduce the fundamentals of ballet. It will also give students to listen to various types of music and learn how their body can move. The second half of this class time encourages parental and guardian participation. students may wear any color leotard, tights, and ballet slippers.

First Grade Fundamentals

Age: 6-7 year olds

Length of class: 1 hour/1xper week

This class will continue with the fundamentals of ballet and begin to introduce the fundamentals of tap dancing. Students may wear any color leotard, tights, and ballet slippers and also will need beginner tap shoes.

Ballet I-III

Age: 7-12 year olds or older first time ballet students

Length of class: 1 hour/1xper week

This class is the core foundation to all other dance training. Students will work both on and off barre using traditional ballet technique. Students will be assessed at the end of each term on basic skills. S term students are required to wear specific colors according to the level and ballet slippers. Hair must be up in a bun.

Pre-Pointe Ballet

Age: 9-12 year olds must have completed Ballet III

Length of class: 1 hour/1xper week

This class is specifically designed to prepare for ballet on Pointe. Each student must be evaluated for readiness in strength, core stability and skill level to participate. Purple/ burgundy leotard and ballet shoes required.

Ballet IV

Age: 12- adult

Length of class: 1.5 hour/ 1-2xper week

This class begins work on Pointe. Students start demi-pointe and progress with teacher supervision/ approval. Burgundy leotard and ballet shoes required. Prerequisite is Pre-Pointe.

Ballet V

Age: 14-Adult

Length of class: 1.5 hours/ 2xper week

Students exclusively work on Pointe both on and off the barre. Black leotard and Pointe shoes required. Prerequisite is Ballet IV.

Tap I-IV

Age: 7-18

Length of class: 1 hour/ 1xper week

Students will learn both rhythm tap and traditional tap while using both barre and floor exercises. Dances will be practiced with and without music accompaniment. Progression to next level is based on teacher assessment of basic skills. Black Jazz pants and tap shoes required.

Adult Tap

Age: 18 and up

Length of class: 1 hour/ 1xper week

Learn to tap and have a good time!

Jazz-Hop I-II and Jazz III-V

Age:  7-9 year olds

Length of class: 1 hour/ 1xper week

Jazz is one of the most popular dance forms offered in the states. It is known by its exaggerated movements and emotion. Jazz-hop classes also include upbeat street type dance with jazz. Black Jazz pants and shoes required.

Hip-Hop III-IV

Age: 9- adult

Length of class: 1 hour/ 1xper week

Upbeat street type dance also including stomp techniques. Any dance attire goes!

Modern I-IV

Age: 7-adult

Length of class: 1 hour/1xper week

Contemporary art form of dance usually performed barefoot. Black Jazz pants required.

Improv. & Choreography

Age: 14-adult

Length of Class: 1 hour/1xper week

Learn to dance on the spot! Using several forms of dance create your own piece with instructor’s impromptu theme. Black jazz pants and shoes/ barefoot required.

Highland Step Dance

Age: 10-adult

Length of class: 1 hour/2-3x per week

Traditional Scottish dance using fast footwork, &b swords while dancing to the accompaniment of a bagpipe. Shorts, Ballet shoes, Ghillies, tall socks are worn to dance
